Bobby Yeah is a stop motion short film by Robert Morgan. Clocking in at just slightly over 23 minutes long, the film was nominated by British Academy of Film and Television Arts for Best Short Animation in 2011.

"“Bobby Yeah is a petty thug who lightens his miserable existence by brawling and stealing stuff. One day, he steals the favourite pet of some very dangerous individuals, and finds himself in deep trouble. He really should learn, but he just can’t help it.”
- official synopsis

The film doesn't have any sort of official 'meaning', intended instead to follow the sort of frantic, fragmented logic of dreams. It's a wild ride from start to finish where you'll never know what's going to happen next. The models and textures are absolutely amazing; a lot of the fleshy material looks very realistic, and the motion is incredibly smooth throughout. I watched this short for the first time in high school and revisited it again recently while showing it to my friend!

Robert Morgan has some other amazing work as well that you can find on YouTube or Vimeo. I also highly recommend The Cat with Hands, my other favorite short film by him and the one I saw first!
