Headcanons

    ❧ Zenya wears his rosary ironically. He doesn't ascribe to any form of religion, be it Catholicism or the cult of the Benefactor that his father worships. That being said, he rarely, if ever, takes it off.

    ❧ Zenya has unreciprocated feelings for Kitani, due mostly in part to the fact that Kitani is unobtainable to him. He will occasionally make flirtatious comments or advances towards Kitani, knowing full well that they will be ignored or rejected. For the most part, he sees this as amusing and just likes to make Kitani uncomfortable, but sometimes he will get very upset and lash out after being rejected if he's under a lot of stress at the time. His feelings are genuine, but he won't admit that it's anything more than a game.

    ❧ Kunihito did not attempt to 'bless' Zenya until he was around ten or eleven years old. Zenya's symptoms were mild at first and grew more severe with age, beginning with nothing more than an itchiness and slight redness around his eye. Kitani confused it for an infection at first. It wasn't until Zenya was a teenager that he began having his daily rituals, and they continued to get worse as he grew older. Kunihito never explained what was happening to him, and he had to find out for himself by reading the cult's documents in the chapel.

    ❧ Zenya got Kristi not long after his blessing when Kitani took him to a pet store. He likes that she is cold-blooded and finds her pleasant to hold. He has a strong distaste for mammals, especially dogs.

    ❧ There was a time when Zenya was unsure if he was a Male or a Female host due to a lack of information and his confusing symptoms.

    ❧ Zenya has wondered what would happen if he tried to mate with a human, but has never tried it, since it would be a waste of time.

    ❧ He listens to the Velvet Underground.
